Clinical Supervision

Richard Hughes started this practice in 2001 after completing a social science degree(Counselling). In the UK, Richard worked as a social worker, manager, trainer, social work student supervisor & clinical supervisor.

Richard’s extensive experience with people of all ages and backgrounds, informs the quality of the service provided at the practice, to the benefit of the clients. Providing high quality therapy is very important to Richard, at a cost to the client that is affordable to most people, offering concessions where needed.

The eclectic nature of the therapy enables a freedom to utilize different modalities according to the needs of the client and the issues that are presented. One hat doesn’t fit all.

The work is done within the context of relationships, families and an individual life. Conflict resolution is also offered to community groups.

Therapists are not immune from problems in their own lives. A successful result from their own therapy may provide insights for you however, the only person that knows what you feel, is you.

Life can be more than difficult sometimes and it is important to realise that seeking help is a sign of strength. Therapy has no “magic wands” but the majority of people who commit themselves to the process, reap the rewards.
